The people who do TANDM's work have lived the founder-led service business journey themselves, sat on the operator side of Digital Agencies and Professional Businesses M&A, or built deep functional expertise in the specific workstreams the Exit-Ready Method™ runs.

    OPERATING PARTNER PATH

    Jumpmasters are operating partners who run client engagements It's the senior delivery role at TANDM

    Jumpmasters lead client engagements from the Ground Check diagnostic through the multi-month operational work. They are the primary client relationship, the senior consultant on engagement, and the person responsible for the engagement outcomes. The current Jumpmasters Brian, JoAnna, Hamid represent the operator backgrounds TANDM is built on: Digital Agencies and Professional Businesses M&A operator experience (Brian), founder-led service business exit experience (JoAnna), and Digital Agencies and Professional Businesses scaling and mentor experience (Hamid).

    We add Jumpmasters as engagement demand justifies and as we find the right operator backgrounds. Candidates typically have one of three profiles. First, founders who have built and exited service businesses themselves and want to do the work alongside other founders doing the same the JoAnna profile. Second, operators who have sat on the buyer side of service business M&A at a holdco, PE platform, or strategic acquirer and want to translate that experience into the seller-side preparation work the Brian profile. Third, senior operators who have scaled service businesses past the founder-dependent stage and built the operational structures the Exit-Ready Method™ teaches the Hamid profile.

    Jumpmaster engagement is typically structured as a partnership relationship rather than traditional employment Jumpmasters are operating partners with engagement-tied compensation, equity participation in the firm, and the autonomy to run client engagements within the TANDM methodology.

    Beyond the Jumpmaster roles, TANDM runs an operational team supporting client engagements, the cohort programs, the community work, marketing and content production, and firm operations. These roles are traditional employment rather than partnership structures and span functional areas including engagement coordination, content production, community management, marketing, and operations.

    The standard is consistent across the operational team. We hire operators who have done the underlying work rather than career consulting staff. An engagement coordinator at TANDM has typically run client services operations at Digital Agencies and Professional Businesses. A content producer has typically built content for founder-led businesses rather than for general B2B marketing. A community manager has typically run founder communities, mastermind groups, or peer-cohort programs. The standard is functional experience over credentials.

    THE WORK

    Three things to know about TANDM as a place to work

    The work is operational, not theoretical. Whether you're a Jumpmaster running client engagements or an operational team member supporting the firm, the work is hands-on. Jumpmasters don't produce decks for clients to execute they do the operational restructuring alongside the client. Operational team members don't write generic strategy documents they run real engagement coordination, real cohort facilitation, real community management. The standard is functional impact, not theoretical output.

    The firm is remote-first with deliberate in-person time. TANDM operates remote-first because the Jumpmasters and clients are distributed across multiple cities and the work doesn't require physical co-location. The firm comes together for quarterly in-person planning, periodic cohort events, and Jumpmaster meetups in major founder markets. Most candidates can work from where they live.

    The standard is direct, candid, and operator-grade. TANDM works with founders who have built real businesses and made real money they expect operator-grade thinking, candid communication, and respect for their time. The internal culture mirrors the client standard. We give direct feedback, we make decisions quickly, we expect everyone on the team to operate as an owner of their work. This isn't a fit for everyone. It is the standard.
